Notes

Started this during the Ducks BSC game and got through a good portion. Then got busy with other things and the project sort of stalled. Brought it out and finished the first panel, then it stall again because I didn’t feel like knitting the exact same panel a second time. Finally sucked it up and made the second one… It only took a day once I put some effort in.

Part of the problem is that all the strands from the intarsia make this a “only at home on the couch project” and I haven’t had a lot of that kind of focused knitting time for a while.

It took three trips through the washer (front loader) to felt down to good size. Then I had to “spot felt” it in the sink a bit more in some places since it came out of the washer a bit uneven. I filled one side of my sink with super hot soapy water, and the other side with super cold water. Then I used my scrub brush vigorously on the bag in the hot water followed by dunking it in the cold water. This worked extremely well. It only took me 5-10 minutes to get the bag looking nice and evenly felted.
