Notes

This was the September knit a long project at For Yarns Sake. I really liked the body and the lace at the bottom. The colorwork was a giant pain in the butt. Even though it’s made by slipped stitches rather than stranding both girls it was still miserable. It’s impossible to keep good tension while carrying the yarn for a 5-stitch float, especially on the purl side.

I went up to a size 5 needle for the colorwork section then to a 4 for the lace. I made my floats nice and loose so that the wouldn’t pucker the shawl, but now I’m worried that they will snag easily on buttons, fingers, zippers, etc.

The Sincere Sheep Agleam was lovely. It has a beautiful sheen. I love the way the colors work together. The pink is too pale for my complexion alone, but paired with the dark grey I think it looks pretty nice.
