This knit up in just a couple hours one night. I opted to add the extra optional pattern repeat and I’m glad I did since it makes the hat just long enough. I tend to like hats that come down to the bottom of my ears. Of course this is for Ryan so I’m basically projecting my preferences onto him…

He lost the last hat I made him, so this is the quickie replacement until I have time to make something nicer with cables. It’s a sufficiently drab/manly color that it should keep him happy and the bulky wool will keep his head warm.
