Notes

This is one of the pattern options for the colorwork class I’m teaching at For Yarn’s Sake.

I knit up one mitten to put on display in the shop so the yarn requirements above reflect only making one mitten. You will need double the amount to make a pair.

I did not get Ysolda’s gauge on US 3 needles, so my mitt came out a bit big. Looking at other people’s projects this seems to be a common problem.

I have very small hands, so if I were to make a pair of these for myself I would probable go down to a size US 0 needle to get them to fit me well.

As always, the Spud and Chloe Fine was a dream to work with. I could knit colorwork endlessly with this yarn. It’s got amazing bright colors, a good strong twist, and a wonderful sheen from the silk.
