I only had about 4 yards of yarn left when I finished. I was sweating the last sleeve the whole way.

My blocked gauge was 11.25 stitches/4 inches, pattern gauge is supposed to be 12 stitches/4 inches. The moral is, block your damn swatch. This is very roomy on me. It has about 8 inches of positive ease instead of 2. (Yes, gauge is that important… damn)

It didn’t really take the better part of two years to make this. If it had gotten my undivided it probably would have been done in a few weeks… Obviously my attention is easily divided.

I love the wide bell sleeves, the pockets, and the buttons. My yarn is definitely “rustic” so it needs to be warn with a full sweater underneath to protect from the scratchy.

My mom came to visit me and it ended up fitting her way better, so she has a new sweater now.
