Notes

Knit this for a class I’ll be teaching at For Yarn’s Sake about cabled hats.

The pattern is a bit hard to follow because the designer uses unconventional symbols for her charts. She also uses a symbol for plain knit stitches, which means that her charts look very busy since every box has a symbol in it.
That being said, I followed the chart and it is completely accurate.

The finished hat is lovely. One ball of Felted Tweed was enough to knit the whole hat, but I didn’t have much left over.

The fuzzyness and tweediness of this yarn make the cables look softer. If you want a stronger stitch definition, this is not the yarn to use. I love how light it is, it feels like nothing on your head, but it keeps you warm at the same time. Lovely
