Notes

Grandma asked me if I could make her some leg warmers because her legs get very cold. She has lots of warm socks, but nothing that keeps her calfs warm. I pulled this yarn out of my stash and set to town to make some leg warmers.

Grandma didn’t want anything fancy and I wasn’t sure how big around she needed them to be so ribbing was the obvious answer. I cast on 44 stitches on size 10 needles and knit in 2x2 ribbing for 15 inches. Grandma is way shorter than me, so that should be plenty long enough for her legs (as you can see they are a little short on me.)

Grandma is a firm believer in the miracle of machine washing and refuses to hand wash anything, so this is a good yarn. Machine washable, but enough wool that it doesn’t have the “squeaky” feeling that cheap acrylic can have.
