Really this only took 5.5 skeins, but it’s annoying to me to have my stash read half skeins… Not sure why, I just like to have whole numbers… I wove in my ends as it went (unusual for me) so it felt like there was no finishing at all once I had crocheted the neck.

This project is pretty fun when your working the yoke and the v-nick then turns into hell as you knit down the body. I knit the body to the length required by the pattern but when I tried it on it wasn’t quite long enough for my taste. I debated just leaving it since it always has to be worn over something anyway and I can just wear long shirts underneath. But then I decided that I would like it better if it were longer and I had put so much time into it already… so i sucked it up, frogged the border and knit an extra 3 inches of body.

The crochet neck edging was not hard at all even given my meager crochet skills. The neck edge rolls under some, but I’m hoping it won’t after a good steam blocking. I love that this wool is superwash so I can just throw this in the washing machine, perfect for my lifestyle.
