Notes

I’m not a fan of the pointy toe. It looks silly. If I do this again I’m casting on at least 12 stitches maybe more. This is my first time doing two-at-once socks on circular needles so I’m just doing a very simple 2x2 rib, so far it’s going alright. I’m just working from one skein of yarn and pulling from the outside and inside so I have to keep pausing to untangle the strands, so that’s a pain.

YEAH finishes! I can’t believe how long these took me. In the end I ended up liking them . They were just a lot of 2x2 ribbing. I made the leg 6” long but with the length of the foot being so long, the leg looks a bit short, if I had it to do over again I’d have it be 7-8 inches tall.

Also, I’m not a big fan of the afterthought heel. It’s a bit awkward. Next time I’ll use short rows or a heel flap.

Overall not a bad turnout for my first fingering weight socks.

I tried to give them to my dad today and he said “Those are cool, but I only wear white socks…” So now they’re Andrew’s and those are his scrawny feet and legs in the pictures.
