This knit up pretty quick while I was behind the desk at Yarnia. I used one of our house blend yarns that has been calling to me. It’s mostly rayon and acrylic which is good for my dad because he will probably wear this when he goes running and get it all sweaty making machine washability very important.

I got really confused by the first crown shaping instruction. I finally figured out that the marker it is talking about when it says “locate fist marker” is not the beginning of the round marker it’s the one that’s 3/4 of the way through where the ribbing “starts.” Once I figured that out everything went swimmingly.

Unstretched my hat has a circumference of 17.25” but it easily stretches to fit my 21” head, and could stretch even more.

I’m going to give this to my dad on Christmas, but until then, it you want to see it for yourself you can see it on display at Yarnia.
