Size Small sample.

I have owned this plastic chain strap for a while, but rarely worn it, as it was an alternative strap to a different store bought crossbody bag I have worn for years. The color was matching perfectly, the links can be taken out and added, so I’ve decided to pick this color of raffia to go with it! And what a perfect strap to make it just any length I need it to be, or take out entirely later.

For this PLEAT tote sample bottom I developed a Slipped hdc pattern technique to have hdc pattern that is worked in the round to match the hdc when worked flat! Worked like a dream, SO excited about it and actually want to use it for some other crochet projects! As it creates denser fabric, which is perfect for the bottom of the tote.
Used combination of size D and E hooks for this Slipped hdc bottom.

I also used the glue spray mix to reinforce the whole tote, just to demonstrate how it can be enhanced. So I got the look of a structured bag without the weight! The stiffness will break up over time with the wear, which can be treated again when needed.
