A cold front rolled through the Ohio River valley yesterday. It brought rain clouds and cool temperatures. I saw it as my only chance to wear my new wool sweater before next winter. So I seized my chance, donned my green tea leaves cardigan and rain boots, and had myself a puddle-jumping day. Happiness.

My first sweater!

Went up a needle size to get gauge with the DK yarn.

Absolutely love the yarn color, though it is a tad itchy. A long-sleeved shirt underneath remedies that.

The pattern is fabulous and perfect for a beginning knitter up for a challenge. I made this cardigan as part of a class--I don’t think I would have had the confidence to try a sweater with my novice skills otherwise. However, it really is a good sweater for a beginner with or without a class.
