Notes

I’ve had a few near catastrophes with this project. For example, it was nearly a casualty of my five year old nephew Ryan. Haha! Despite this, I have kept on trucking and am about 80% finished. I think it will look pretty with my blue winter coat, so I’m eager to finish now that it is getting cold in NYC.

Update: Nothing like a bit of snow to make you kick it into gear and finish. Maybe I was a little too eager because I ran out of yarn while casting off (I swear it was so close to being enough) so I frogged the last few rows, knit my last three rounds and cast off from there.

If I were to do the long version again I would really watch the amount of yarn…it uses every bit of the 2 skeins. I would forget about getting to 11 inches…once you near ten prepare to knit the last three rounds. Better yet, get the yarn on sale and buy three.

I don’t know that I love the pattern as much as I love the yarn and the color. For one, within seconds of trying on the scarf I snagged it. Maybe it just hates me. Oh well, it looks pretty.
