I’m knitting using this fine yarn held doubled. I knew the knitting would go faster, but also would make a warmer hat. Since the yarn is two-ply, that sort of made a cabled yarn.

First hat
CO on Oct 22, 2022, with US 6s. Followed directions for the adult medium size. Finished Nov 12, 2022. Used 53 g and there are 60 g left; 199 yards.

Second hat
I’m using the same yarn, held doubled, but will go for a kid’s hat with a folded brim. CO Nov 13, 2022.

I switched to 2x2 rib using US 5s at 7 inches from the cast-on and knit about 3 inches before casting off. Finished Nov 26, 2022. Seems a bit short but I hope that means it will fit a kid’s head. 54.7 g used; 207 yards.

Gave the second hat to Teddy March 15, 2023. Unfolded it fit his adult head pretty well!

Sept 2023: Gave the first hat away to a “winter warmth” charity drive.
