I determined that the sweater was unsalvagable and frogged the whole darn thing. At least my new ball winder made the process a little fun :).

Oh dear. Washing and blocking did not fix the fact that the whole darn thing is several sizes too large. On inspection, my gauge while knitting does not at all match my swatch. So much for swatching!!

Body complete, and I’m well into the sleeves. I’m doing two-at-a-time on a (looong) magic loop. I still love the feel of the yarn, but now I’m concerned that the whole thing is looking a bit too big. Here’s hoping!

The watch with 4 mm needles was perfect -- so I cast on with the 3.75 for ribbing etc. Such soft, lovely yarn. I’m in heart.

I’m actually swatching! With 4mm needles, because I often need to go a size smaller. I cast on 58 stitches and swatched in reverse stockinette, plus the braid, scootching over 1 stitch every other row. I’m even washing and blocking! I feel all proper.
