The Cascade swatched at 20st and 27 rows in the 4.5mm needles. I decided to stick with the suggested needle size since my boy’s measurements fell between the 2yo and 4yo sizing. CO for 4yo sizing and hoping the different gauge will result in a slightly smaller fit.

MODS: S asked for “sleeves like mittens”, so I made some thumb holes in the sleeve cuff and knit them 10cms long.
