Don’t be surprised if this little bird starts showing up in lots of my projects - I love him!

Hat (gauge = 6 sts per inch)

--CO 100 using size 4
--K in the round for 6 inches
--(K8, K2tog) to end
--K one round
--(K7, K2tog) to end
--K one round
--Continue decreases thus until all stitches are K2tog
--K one more round
--Thread yarn through remaining live sts and pull closed
--With white yarn, pick up 100 stitches in cast-on sts
--Purl one round
--Knit another hat exactly the same
--Knit one side only of bird using size 1.5
--Wet, iron, and sew onto hat
