Notes

I knit this a long time ago for Bouncer. I had made many sweaters for him because shih tzus get cold in the winter since they don’t have an undercoat. Most of those sweaters have since been lost.

Many of B’s sweaters were seamless, all of my own design. This one is knit in 2 pieces: a main piece and a shorter belly piece. Then seamed together leaving holes for front legs. Because B is a stout little doggy, I used short rows on the main piece around the chest/front legs. Neck, front legs, and body bands were picked up and knit in 2x2 rib.

Revisited: The sweater originally had a reverse single crochet edging that had felted and shrunk making neck and body openings too tight. I redid the neck with more stitches in 2x2 rib and finished with contrasting orange rolled stockinette edge. The body rib edging was chained with a crochet hook very loosely for easy color contrast without re-knitting anything.

Tada! My warm little bunny!
