LOVE this pattern! 56” x 34” finished size
MODS
I hand-dyed bamboo top and spun it into lace-fingering singles on my Lendrum DT for this project.
I was going to design my own pattern for my yarn, but I just don’t have the skills yet, & this is pretty damn close to what I was envisioning anyway.
PROGRESS NOTES
6/26/10: Doesn’t really need blocking (bamboo=little memory), but I wanted to see it all laid out anyway. So a blocking we will go!
6/25/10: Borrowing blocking wires from beapea7 today.
6/24/10: Knitting is DONE! 33 repeats, a lucky number. 3 (instead of 4) rows of garter st, w/ a YO 2 sts in at each end. And BO w/ Jenny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off. Used all but 10 yards of my handspun. Block tomorrow.
6/21/10: Got much less knitting time in at BSG than I anticipated (I’m always overly-optimistic about that), so not much further than I was when I left. C’est la vie. 28 repeats done.
6/16/10: I was gonna enter it at Black Sheep Gathering, but only animal fiber items are accepted! Oh well, wouldn’t have had a chance to block it anyway.
6/13/10: Took it to WWKIP at the ballpark Saturday, & Open Studios, & Sit ‘n’ Knit at YARN on Sunday - 24 repeats are finished, & it is getting nice & big!
6/11/10: Obviously I didn’t finish in time to wear on my birthday, but it is coming along nicely. 17 repeats complete, measures 20” along center line.
Same day, 11pm: Whizzing along! Already 10 repeats complete; measures 10” along center line!
6/8/10: Cast on at 1pm & hoping to model tomorrow night at my local knit night on my BIRTHDAY!
