Very easy, and cozy for winter. I love it, wore it all over Germany during my trip. Think I might make another for summer, in linen, and a tad less enormous.

Notes
I am knitting this front first, bottom to top, and then up and over the shoulders, casting the 16 neck stitches back on for the back. Then I picked up stitches for the sleeves.

The mohair has significantly less yardage than the mink/alpaca/silk per gram, although they appear to be about the same thickness. For the front I used 150g of the mohair and 100g of the other.

Three yarns held together for the top half, and the sequin yarn is not included in the bottom half.

This yarn isn’t that soft but it looks pretty. Slightly difficult to work with. I hope blocking evens out the stitches.

Initially was going to make Francis Revisited with the thinner yarn but I had a disaster with the gauge as below: Pre-blocking: 18 st = 4” on 3.75mm and 20.5 st = 4” on 3mm. Well great. As I was knitting my gauge went to a whopping 17 st = 4”.

The HA2.6 is very soft, though I’m wondering if “mohair” just means mohair-like and not actual mohair fiber.

The sequin yarn adds a lovely sheen and sparkle, but it snags like you wouldn’t believe. It’s getting caught on the chips of my nail polish.

This whole thing would have gone a lot faster if my yarns hadn’t become a tangled mess every other row.
