This is my New Years sweater (2021)

About the time I finished my wool and honey sweater with Juniper Moon Patagonia yarn, this pattern was released. I am excited to make another sweater with this yarn. I went up a needle size to get gauge.

I use the app notibility on my phone so I don’t have to print patterns, I used the app to colour the picture so I could remember which order I wanted the colours in.

Colourwork sweaters are so addictive to knit, I just can’t wait to add the next row and see it come to life. I’m really happy how this turned out, I chose greens and greys for a more neutral palette and these colours remind me of camping with my family in BC during the summers.

Update after blocking: the sweater fits exactly how I hoped it would. The colourwork is perfect and bobbles adorable, I was thinking of omitting them on the sleeves but couldn’t resist! Speaking of the sleeves, they turned out longer than I expected, I even knit them 2” shorter. Better a bit longer than too short, I guess. This yarn is amazing! So soft and lovely. It drapes so well after blocking. Can’t wait to make another sweater using Patagonia.
