Ponchos make lovely warm additions to your fall wardrobe, but so many of them are heavy and bulky. I love that crochet can be so light and lacy, so I designed a warm cowl neck poncho that has a fancy stitch pattern, giving it an elegant look.

So often when I see crochet Afghans, they are big, bulky, heavy, and let’s be honest, very time consuming! I wanted to create something that would be simple, lacy, and floral. After all, that is the joy of crochet!

This is a crochet pattern for the slouchy style hat shown in the photos. It features a lacy back with a fitted rim. An experienced beginner should be able to easily complete this project. The pattern only requires prior knowledge of how to make basic crochet stitches, no joining or advance techniques are used.

This is a crochet pattern for the beanie style hat shown in the photos. The pattern includes instructions for variations, allowing you to make either a traditional beanie or a more slouchy style hat. It takes less then a skein of yarn and works up quickly.

This was my very first written pattern ever, originally released on my blog. Now that I’ve had more experience with patterns, I’ve decided to re-release it.
