From the designer: for the newborn size, it might be easier to use US 2 - 2.75 mm dpns from the beginning, or a 12” circular, as a 16” circular is a bit of a stretch for 80 sts.

BabyFat is a toddler’s hat with a double roll brim. These double rolls have nothing, however, on the darling chubby wrists and knees of many a baby I’ve known. The double roll brim seems to appear like magic! A fun, fast and easy knit in worsted or bulky yarn.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Top down lace sock pattern; twisted garter stitch cuff, heel flap in eye-of-partridge stitch pattern. Lace motif resembles a whale’s fluke. Lacy and sexy.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Top down lace sock with twisted stitches and a simple lace pattern. Reminiscent of the swirl of soft-serve ice cream. This lace pattern torques so it swirls around the leg but goes straight down the instep.
Knitting: Pet Clothing
This is a simple pattern that you could use as a template and work into something to fit your dog.
