Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I have taught classes on Stranded Knitting Portuguese Style for many years and this hat is one of the designs I came up with for the class.
Knitting: Duffle Bag
This bag is really fun to make as you see the Entrelac pattern showing from your needles in your favorite colors. To give a sturdy body to the bag, the project is felted after completion and before sewing the zipper. A great way to use your left over yarn!
Knitting: Booties
Knitting: Scarf
This scarf is easy to knit in Brioche Stitch. It has one foundation row and then one row after that repeating it to the end. I recommend alpaca yarn for its softness, drape and warmth, but you are welcome to use any fiber you want. This pattern has one size and I give instructions for two widths. You have options to knit one, two or no pockets....
Knitting: Earflap Hat
Child’s Andean Hat: This hat is knit like the Peruvians knit—inside out and purling every round! This is easier when you use the Portuguese Style of Knitting and also guarantees a loose float on your two color knitting. The project is small but perfect for you to practice the technique!
Knitting: Scarf, Mittens
Knitting: Cardigan
pp. 62-63 in Portuguese Knitting. Kimono-style wraparound baby cardigan.
Knitting: Cardigan, Pullover
