This is a flapjack octopus pattern, also sometimes called a dumbo octopus. The size will vary depending on the weight of the yarn and your tension, but my finished object is about 12cm across and 5-6cm tall.

Fairly quick and easy pufferfish pattern with a cute, derpy face! Pufferfish are called “fugu” in Japanese. It’s also sometimes called “hari-sen-bon”, meaning “thousand needles”.

My finished Displacer Beast is about 10 inches long. Your finished product may be larger or smaller depending on the size of yarn and hook that you use. Mine was “regular” weight yarn with a 3.75mm hook.
