Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This pattern was most certainly born of necessity - the necessity for a quick warm up. I work in an old building and my office gets very chilly from early November until late May. As the sun sets and the afternoon cools, I pull these out of my desk drawer and slip them on. Warming my hands and covering that pulse point at my wrist are instant w...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Autumn is a time of constant change, some gradual and subtle and some abrupt and swift. The weather cooling and nature is metamorphizing along with the chilling air. In SoCal, it always seems to be the hottest as the days melt into each other and we anticipate that cooler air. Suddenly, it arrives sweet and crisp. I found that fall turnover is ...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque, Scarf
Some hints are subtle and some are not. This scarf is a classic and bold way to present a luscious ribbon yarn, subtlety not being its strong suit. The hat, a lovely cousin, shows a lovely interaction between a soft and luxurious alpaca silk and that same beautiful ribbon yarn.

These simple fingerless mittens are a great way to explore intarsia, a colorwork technique that allows you to put a graphic design in the middle of a field of color without adding any bulk to the fabric.. Your choice of a heart or a circle motif, you will be learning a valuable skill that will open new worlds for playing with delicious colors.
Knitting: Purse / Handbag
From your 1st to your 15th felted project, this bag is a very easy way to make a new tote for fun or for gifting.
Knitting: Softies - Other
This little guy is the perfect model for a mini Baby Surprise jacket. He knits up very quickly and uses those bits of yarn you have laying about. My baby loves squeeze his squishy body and to chew on his dangling arms.
Knitting: Pullover
This sweater, worked from the top down, was improvised one weekend and quickly became a personal favorite (yes, I am biased). The design and excecution are very easy and accessible. Both the knitting and the minimal finishing happen quickly. The best part is probably dressing the long awaited recipient in your creation. It is a great place to u...
Knitting: Cardigan
This shrug is a super quick knit and is flattering to many shapes and figures. When choosing your yarn, you have a wide palette - simply choose a yarn with lots of loft to fill the stitches on a US 13. When in doubt, swatch it! The pattern has multiple sleeve lengths and offers the option to lengthen the body before beginning the V-shaping. Lon...
