Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The pattern is written for a finished size of 60-cm x 130-cm, which you can easily convert to scarf or coverlet by adding or subtracting pattern multiples, or by working in thinner or thicker fibres.

Knitting: Pullover
On y va! Let the games commence! The whole of France welcomes the world to come and play. The days will be sweltering, so we will enjoy the cool of the evening with a lightweight wool in classic French style.

Knitting: Cardigan
This is the classic Fair Isle V-neck cardigan shape, from bottom to top and then down each sleeve, round and round all the way. The underarm gussets provide bust/chest room for movement, so that the body appears fitted even as it includes practical ease. Body and arms can be lengthened with additional repeats of the colorwork bands.

Knitting: Pullover
Filatura di Crosa’s “Zara” or Varleria di Romas “Vicuna Merino” Superwash wools work so well with these simple, charted, knit/purl textures—this has become my Sweatshirt to come home to!

Knitting: Blanket - Other
This simple-yet-ornate design uses short-row shaping to create a decoratively curved tail, shifts into a circular tube with lacy scale-like chevrons that subtly increase as they wrap the body in a warm hug, opening into a garter stitch border at the chest.

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This simple circularly-knit tuque is embellished with “hair” made from separated plies of yarn that are tied in an I-cord bow, a bright & bold bobble flower, and quirky troll ears.

Knitting: Pet Toys
Gauge and finished size will depend upon yarn & needles used—the only important factor is that the knitted fabric be firm enough to contain the stuffing.

Knitting: Earflap Hat
This was an experiment with colors from my yarn stash—a very successful one, I’m happy to say.

Knitting: Collar
This thicker, glossy yarn creates a distinctive element on any plain blouse or dress. Equally, a fine silk or cotton with smaller needles would make a delicate variation, or a fluffy mohair and larger needles could turn out a gorgeous shoulder wrap!

Knitting: Scarf
Inspired by scarf worn by John Hurt in the BBC Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special, this is a mercerized cotton version. I recommend a light-fingering or fingering weight silk/viscose blend. Persist, and you will eventually wear an incredible creation of great beauty. Treat it with love, not war, and it’ll look far smarter than the ‘War Doctor’.
