Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The third pattern in my series inspired by Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files, this shawl was inspired by Mab, the Winter Queen. Mab is literally a force of nature and incredibly powerful, and like the deepest winter storm she can be both amazingly beautiful and terrifying at the same time.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
The second pattern in my series inspired by Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files, these squishy warm mitts are inspired by Waldo Butters. Better known in the Dresden-verse simply as Butters, he is smart enough to hold his own with Bob, clever enough to logic his way through incredible obstacles, and brave enough to be a force of nature. With only th...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The first in a series of patterns inspired by Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files, this narrow wrap is inspired by the character Molly Carpenter. Specifically designed to showcase the amazing display of colours in Knitter’s Nightmare variegated sock yarn, this pattern has enough pattern interest to keep the design interesting without losing it in t...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Inspired by the iconic houses in San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury, this shawl invokes the Victorian Painted Ladies, the cityscape beyond, and stars in the twilight skies. The lace and cable shawl is worked in one piece with the body worked first and the edging, the staircases for the Ladies, knitted on to finish.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is the fourth pattern in my Doctor Who Companions series, inspired by both Rose Tyler and her alter ego Bad Wolf. Rose is a strong personality and the companion that most keeps the Tenth Doctor on his toes. When she becomes Bad Wolf, Rose is intense, fearless, and powerful.
Knitting: Scarf
This scarf has it all! The gradient two-colour gradient yarn gives it a dramatic flair, going from dark to light along the length of the piece. The dropped stitch cables give it texture, depth, and just that little bit of rock star appeal. And the i-cord detail gives it versatility: you can wear it as a traditional scarf with biased hems, i-cor...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Worked in one piece from one end of a two-colour gradient to the other, this shawl invokes the dappling of light through water and the movement of ocean waves.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is the third pattern in my Doctor Who Companions series, inspired by the companion Donna Noble. Donna is a character that goes through a major transformation over her time as a companion, from innocent bride, to half Time Lord, and back to her previous life with no memory of her time as the Doctor’s companion.
Knitting: Scarf
Crimson. Eleven. Delight. is the second pattern in my Doctor Who Companions inspired series.
Knitting: Cowl
Hello, sweeties! This is the first pattern in a series inspired by the Companions of Doctor Who.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat is a simple fun knit with plenty of interest for the knitter and a clean symmetrical design for the wearer. It’s stylish enough to appeal to someone who loves pattern and structure, but simple enough to appeal to those girls and guys who like “a plain hat”. Win-win!
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Crossing The Frame is knit in the round for the cuff and fingers, and flat for the body. The mitt, straps and thumb gussets are knitting in one piece, with the thumb knitted on after the rest of the mitt is completed.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This pattern is a mostly semicircular shawl made up of a centre cable panel surrounded by lace. The construction is unique: the body is completed with a tapered end, then two halves of a lace and cable edging are knitted on as you go. Once the edging is completed, the shawl is done - there is no binding off.
