I designed this shawl as an exercise in magic. I wanted something that shows off the beauty and magical opportunities of the Dundaga’s multi-coloured yarn, simple and easy to do yet amazing to look at.

This hat pattern is my arrangement of traditional Scandinavian baby hat with a few improvements: it is re-written so that it can be knitted top down and in the round. This eliminates the need to purl, to sew the seams and to do calculations before starting. This way the recipe works for every yarn, every gauge and every size.

I designed this tunic for me and for my little girl. Something light but comfortable for layering in colder weather. It’s knitted in the round, seamlessly, top down. This way it can be tried on and fitted as you go, adapting the increases and length accordingly.

This is the sister pattern of my Nunna blanket. The main difference — it is only a triangle. Here too I have composed an entrelac pattern of rectangles and squares in 2 different sizes. The inspiration comes from Latvian textile tradition.

Youngest of my sons loves bright colours. He is constantly building things. Because it reminds me so much of colourful building blocks, I called this blanket the nickname he used to call himself — Nunna.

I am happy to announce that the 2nd edition of this pattern is available! It includes few improvements in the construction of the sock, more detailed instructions for every step and a cute variation of the edging.

I love the Eva’s Entrelac Shawl – it is so colorful and pretty and warm. I made one for me too. The only thing that bothered me – I had to find a mitten pattern that compliments it. Alas – I could not find one that suited me. So – as usual – I had to come up with my own and now I am presenting it hoping you’ll like it too.

Inspired by Hexagon Socks (Kirsten Hall, Think Outside The Sox) my best friend wanted to knit mittens. we searched all over the place and did not find a hexagon mitt pattern. so I got up and made one myself.

These could be first toe-up socks you are going to make. Easily they could be your first socks ever. They have a round toe, short row heel (I give two alternatives), extra comfy instep and really easy and snug leg part with elastic edge. These could be your favorite socks.
