My youngest child wanted a Pokéball hat (based on Poke’mon).. so I came up with this design. It is all double crochet. The “button” is also double crochet & is added after the hat is finished.

Shrug is worked in the round from one wrist to the other, with the back section done in straight back & forth rows. The ribbed band is added by picking up stitches & working in the round.
