This is design to be a basic beanie with a fold up brim. I made this pattern mainly to help teach people to crochet. It follows along teaching to read a pattern on my Tik Tok.

These are made with aluminum scales for scale mail. Number of scales will vary between 260 to 500, depending on size.

This pattern includes instructions for both bulky and worsted yarn variations. Along with instructions for squirrel, chipmunk, and deer.

Gauge is not important for this project. You can use any worest weighted yarn. I used Red Heart super saver and Caron Simply Soft for my samples. I used most likely less than 50 yards of yarn. It all depends on the size you make your trident/pitch fork.

Very quick and easy pattern. Great to have for the swimming pool, beach, or yoga. Also great to wear around the house and anywhere else you want!

2 main design choices included: One with spot for scissors and just place for hooks.

Can make in any color. I made by carrying the yarn between colors. YOu can cut and switch. Perfect item to make for a soccer fan.

Many different verisions can be made! Options to make your spaceman or space monster as unique as the one you are making it for. You can make hats with or without anntenna, one eye or many eyes, teeth or no teeth. Your imagination is your limitation.

You can do either monster in any color you want. The only limitation is you! The amount of yarn will depend on the size you make. I often can get out of a skein of fun fur and part of Red Heart in the smaller size 3 hats. With the adult, I need one and half skeins of fun fur and part of Red Heart.

Gauge does not matter in this project. The one I made ended up being 11 inches tall. Uses simple crochet stitches.

Finished item can hold crayons or pip-squeak markers. They can hold as many or little as crayons as you would like.
