A long and simple, asymmetrical vest that can be worn open, partially buttoned, or buttoned from top to bottom. Closely-spaced buttons and ribbing create a flattering, long vertical line.

I was thinking of Rudyard Kipling’s Just So Stories as I worked on this design…How the Leopard Got His Spots and all the other ingenious tales he spun for his friends’ children. Knitting is a bit like that.

A set of stranded booties, mittens and hat for babies about 6 to 24 months of age. All pieces are charted and use simple and standard construction techniques. They are knit in the round on double-pointed needles in three colors — 1 skein of a light color, 1 skein of a dark color and about 1/4 skein of a contrasting color with nordic motifs.
