Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
I love knitting socks. They are a project you can carry with you to the Doctor Office, Restaurant, and even knit while waiting for a red traffic light to turn green. They are wonderful to wear and there are so many choices of yarn to choose from.

These Two Fisherman’s Keps are designed using the traditional Fair Isle technique of knitting two colors at the same time and knit in the round. Each Kep has a fold up brim to make them warmer around the ears. The Keps are embellished with an I-Cord and tassel.

This yarn is designed to give two matching socks separated by a yellow strand of yarn that connects sock one to sock two. To use the yarn for a fingerless mitt, the yarn for the heel will be discarded when the pattern reflects this information.

This Christmas Stocking is knit in the round using the stranded method of knitting. The heel is a afterthought heel that is knit when the stocking is completed. The charts are color coded to make it easier to read. The button used to attach the hanging loop to the stocking is made of reindeer horn, but any button can be utilized.

This vest is knit flat from the bottom up and bound off at the shoulders using a three needle bind off. The bottom snd sleeve ribbing incorporates an eyelet rib pattern. The celtic Knot pattern is worked on the front only, but could be worked on the back also.
