This is a beanie style hat, worked bottom up from a basket weave stitch brim. This is a unisex style, and looks great in lots of colors. Solid or semi-solid yarn is suggested.

The yarn, yardage, and needle size is what I used on the test piece, however this pattern could be used for any yarn that is lace weight up to DK.
