Knitting: Scarf, Fingerless Gloves
Gloves are sized for a medium to large man’s hand. They are squishy-warm and men say they really do like them! The scarf is reversible and will not curl. The pattern is knit and purl only, which is described both in charts and row by row. Gloves use about 140 yards, scarf about 250 yards of worsted weight yarn.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Knit from two skeins of striping yarn - this project is addictive. An excellent opportunity to try two-handed knitting if you haven’t already done so (check out www.philosopherswool.com for a great instructional video). Both charts and fully written out instructions are provided with this pattern.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
I created these mittens to use up the remnants of some yarn I splurged on. They would make a lovely gift; knitted in a luxurious yarn such as alpaca, bison or cashmere, they are warm yet light enough to wear while typing (or holding a bridal bouquet!). The lace pattern is a 6 stitch, 2 row repeat and is easy to memorize.
Knitting: Scarf
I just love when I’m in my LYS, see something pretty, and can whip up a gift in one day! Espumante is a Portugese sparkling wine, which seemed an ...
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This lighter-than-air glove was designed for the FGF Group’s August KAL. This design may be knit in cobweb weight, 1 ply or fine laceweight 2 ply yarn. It takes on a new personality in different colours; take a look at other knitters’ projects to see for yourself.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This glove is surprisingly quick to knit. A pair of Little Pumpkins would make a great gift for someone that doesn’t want to take their gloves off to count money, type, text, play music, etc.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Quatre Fleurs was designed for the Fingerless Glove Fanatics Group April Mystery KAL.
Knitting: Hanging Ornament
This is the first of my designs for tree ornaments inspired by trips to Fair Isle. I plan to decorate my tree entirely with handknits and decided to start with my favourite shape, reminiscent of the elongated ornaments I loved as a child. The motif is inspired by the Sitka Spruce.
Knitting: Chart
I knit these for my son - he likes pretty much anything with a Union Jack. I started out researching the proportions to make sure I charted this reasonably accurately. I didn’t write a pattern - but I received several requests for the chart so feel free to download for your personal use.
