Knitting: Mittens
Just a pattern created for my own personal use… but since I had a decent color chart image I figured I’ll share! I made this a few years ago and just came across the chart again; I don’t have a good picture of finished mittens with the Rebel Alliance logo (although I do have firefighter Maltese cross & EMS Star of Life ones using the same b...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Just a pattern created for a couple friends (skulls aren’t my thing, but I hang out with a lot of bikers who like ‘em)… since I had a decent color chart image I figured I’ll share!
Knitting: Mittens
Just a pattern created for my own personal use… but since I had a decent color chart image I figured I’ll share! I made this a few years ago and just came across the chart again; I don’t have a good picture of finished mittens, so I’ll probably ask the first person or few who make them to feature your photo on the pattern page!
Knitting: Mittens
Just a pattern created for my own personal use from a public-domain Selbu pattern. I do sometimes have these mittens available on Etsy, but I’m not worried about competition (I don’t really have time to make that many).
Knitting: Mittens
Just a pattern created for my own personal use from a public-domain Selbu pattern and another star I found that I liked… but since I had a decent color chart image I figured I’ll share! I do have these mittens available on Etsy, but I’m not worried about competition (I don’t really have time to make that many).
Knitting: Convertible Gloves
I had to create a simpler version of my Snow Pony Fancy Mittens because I couldn’t NOT make my friend’s kid horse mittens, but she loses stuff (no way I’m doing the super fine version!) plus there are so many nice washable yarns in worsted. I combined half of the horse from my other mitten with some Selbu vine pattern background, and I might li...
Knitting: Mittens
These were designed for a friend, in memory of a loved one who went by the nickame Squid. My friend told me to go ahead and share!
Knitting: Earflap Hat
This is basically a combination of my Norwegian beanie hat design with my Worsted Chullo hat shape. I have knit it before and it turned out great, but I can’t find my photos so I’ll ask the first couple of people who make one and get a good pic to feature it on the pattern page!
Knitting: Mittens
Designed this for a special request, and it turned out too cool to not use the pattern again… but come on, how many people do I need to make fish mittens for? Well, I’m sure some of you can help me out!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Just a pattern created for my own personal use from a couple Selbu border designs and stars… but since I had a decent color chart image I figured I’ll share! I do have these hats available on Etsy, but I’m not worried about competition (I don’t really have time to make that many).
Knitting: Mittens
A friend found a picture of some Norwegian-style mittens with a horse design, and asked if I could make something like it. (If anyone knows the source of that pattern, please let me know!) I charted out the horse (which I think was knit with fine yarn on a child-size mitten), and added background details to fill out the stitch count needed for ...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This was an odds-and-ends project, using sport weight yarn held double. I used a combination of Frog Tree Alpaca Sport (no longer in production) and Mirasol Nuna. You can use any sport/fingering weight yarn held double, or worsted turns out similar gauge (you may need to add a few rows, as “doubled” yarn works up taller vs its width.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
A basic cabled hat pattern, suitable for fairly new knitters who want to try cabling! The best part is it’s very stretchy, so you don’t really need to swatch; a general size guess should be close enough. Includes optional instructions to convert to “messy bun hat” with an opening on the top.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
We all remember the Bernie mitten thing, right? Well, a friend (who I don’t think is even a Democrat) suggested I should send him some of my mittens. I felt like he had that covered, but mentioned a joke I’d seen - that he really needs a beanie that 100% doesn’t match anything else to complete the look - and joked that I could send him one.
