Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
For these fingerless mitts I adapted a pattern from the fantastic stitch dictionary by Hitomi Shida, in German it is called ‘Die neue Strickmusterbibel’. The pattern is very versatile, you can see many different things in it. For example, I see butterflies, my daughter elephants and spiders. Therefore, these mitts are called animal mitts.
Knitting: Mittens
After a long time of designing absence, I decided to share another design of mine. Due to lack of time, only one size is available and the pattern is not tested. If you find any mistakes, or have a question, please send me a message, I’ll look into it!
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
As classical bassplayer I sometimes have to play in cold churches. In these concerts fingerless gloves are the perfect solution for warm hands and free fingers. And with these gloves with notes and doublebasses nobody can complain…
Knitting: Cardigan
This cardigan is called zakkenvest, which is a dutch word (I kind of made it up though, not a real word I think..) for cardigan with pockets. It has a subtle star pattern in stockinette stitch on the body and a more overall star pattern in the collar, that ends in two pockets.
Knitting: Ankle Sock
I wanted to make socks with all the remnants of the sock yarn I collected over the years. I really like stranded motifs so I collected a few, made up a few and made a pattern. It is a real motivation to see all the motifs grow as you knit!
Knitting: Mittens
For the past few years I have made my niece mittens for Christmas. She paints her hand on a piece of paper with the design being what she wants her new mittens to look like. This year the design was a red heart on pink background. I hope she doesn´t mind a few more hearts!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
As a child, I always visited a lot of churches on vacation with my parents. And still if I see a large church, I tend to go in. I love the silence and the peace in these buildings. And I love the windows, especially if they are made in stained glass. This hat is inspired by such a cathedral window.

Knitting: Cowl
I just learned how to brioche, and love the texture of the fabric! Especially the honeycomb stitch, I just had to cast on a cowl directly… It makes a very warm, two-layered piece.
