Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These Two Tone striped mitts are worked in a 4ply yarn, Spindrift, from Jamiesons of Shetland which is 100% pure Shetland wool. Other 4ply yarns may be substituted but may not give the same result.
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
This is a pattern for four different washcloths in pure cotton dk yarn. I have used Erika Knight Gossypium cotton which has high ethical production values. In these days of doing our bit to save the planet, we should be using cotton cloths like these instead of packet wipes for cleaning hands and removing make up.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This large, soft shawl is my “go-to” wrap on chilly evenings. It travels with me everywhere as a much loved and familiar comforter in the way children have a “blankie”. Try to use lovely soft pure wool for that touch of luxury, and softness and warmth on the skin.

Unisex adult beanie in Aran yarn with Fair Isle design.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
This blanket is made from luxurious Rowan Big Wool, a 100% pure wool with a deep loft and soft texture. The entire project is worked in knit stitch (garter stitch) only. The yarn is luxurious, warm and cosy and makes a lovely squashy thick blanket for buggies, prams and snuggle times.

This is a warm and cosy hat knitted in the round in Aran yarn. Its a unisex design for adults with a Fair Isle pattern. I choose Jamiesons of Shetland pure 100% wool Heather Aran. It makes a thick and warm hat which, with wear and careful washing, will felt nicely until he hat feels more like fabric than yarn.
