Chester is Lester the Leicester’s crocheted little brother. He was created for Houston Fiberfest for their “year of crochet” 2018 show.

This shawl just would not tell me its name. I went through about twenty incarnations and a fiber festival looking for suggestions before a friend made the comment, “the shawl that shall not be named.” Which actually is perfect but far too long for a title, and so “Nameless” was born.

These socks remind me so much of the beach at Galveston I had to name them after it. If you’ve ever been to Galveston Bay, you know that the water is muddy from being on the wrong side of the Mississippi River. The ripples of the pattern along with the unique colorway of the yarn make me think of walking in the surf as the tide goes out.

There are two sides to every story and somewhere in the middle is what actually happened. Shake up your wardrobe with this modern take on the traditional triangular shawl. Knit from the top down, a two-color cable runs down the spine. A light ruffle completes the edge.

Errata: Row 3 of the written instructions should end p3, k2. This has been changed to reflect that as well as moving pictures around to make printing easier.

This pretty doily was created for me by my grandmother. I used the design to create this pattern with her permission.
