Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This is my take on a braid cable, which I’m calling Kirsten after that American Girl doll who had the two long braids, which I used to braid and re-braid over and over. That practice is what really made me good at doing two French braids while standing up on school buses. It was my favorite hairstyle for a long time as a kid.

Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This pattern has 64 stitches around. It is toe up with a short row heel. Most of the sock is 2x2 rib, and the cable pattern travels around the sock. It would be pretty easy to add or decrease the stitches as a result, if necessary for sizing. The two socks are mirror images of each other.
