A super quick little knit just in time for the oncoming Fall weather. Perfect for weekend knitting or gift giving. Pick a ribbon that matches your yarn for a sweet complimentary accent or pick something bold and wild to really show off the rouched detail.
Knitting: Clutch
The Bolla Bag was my answer to an ‘evening purse’. Having found the sort of fancy dinner purses you find in stores too small or too gaudy for my taste I decided to whip up a little bag that would fit my stuff and style but still be elegant enough for a night out. At home in a fancy restaurant but equally welcome with jeans and a tee shirt for a...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These socks are inspired by the beautifully fluffy dress Kaylee wears to the fancy party Mal takes her to. A very simple yet sweet lace pattern carries down from the cuff to the top of the sock. Wear with greasy coveralls or a fancy party dress!
Knitting: Tote
A simple but fun bag perfect as a knitting WIP bag, beach tote or any kind of carry along purse! Simple techniques and construction make it perfect for an adventurous beginner. Felted for a sturdy bag that will last a long time. Quick to knit!
Knitting: Beret, Tam
This beret was inspired by ‘The Proposal’ by William Bouguereau. I took the braids in the woman’s hair as inspiration for this slouchy beret. I feel very French and romantic when I wear this hat and I hope you do too!
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is the perfect project if you have a small amount of fingering weight wool or have a single hank of something luxurious and beautiful, like the hand spun BFL this pattern was designed for.
Knitting: Cowl
Is there a better word than ‘flounce’ for something that is frilly, fun and well, flouncy? I don’t think so. This neck warmer is all those things. Much fancier than the sorts of things I usually knit or wear, but the yarn was so beautiful and it just spoke to me. This yarn deserved to be something that could be worn in a way that show cased its...

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
“Esker” is a synonym of ‘ridge’ and that’s exactly what is on this hat, cute waving eskers. Knit in luscious Malabrigo Worsted, this hat is squishy, soft and delightful to wear. The unique construction makes this hat a little more fitted than a typical beanie but not quite as stylistic as a cloche. Perfect for winter wear!
Knitting: Mittens
Add un peu de charme (or ‘a little glamor’) to your winter wear this year with these charming mittens. Simple, elegant and quick to knit these mitts worked up in a luxurious merino (like the Malabrigo pictured) will make a stylish and warm accoutrement this season.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
A very quick knit! Perfect for a last minute gift. Takes only one ball of the Alchemy Wabi Sabi (89 yards/aran weight) and could easily be knit in an evening.
Knitting: Cowl
Instant gratification knitting at it’s best; cold this morning? Have a neckwarmer by tonight. A chunky cabled band adds interest and the beautiful and elegant seed stitch keeps things classy. Simple stitches make for an easy project while the construction keeps you engaged.

Knitting: Cowl
This quick yet beautiful knit is perfect for using up a stray hank (or half a hank) of fingering weight yarn. Knits up quickly and the cable pattern is easy to memorize after a few rows, add unique buttons for a truly stunning collar perfect for chilly autumn and winter days.
Knitting: Scrubber
This fancy soap sock is a super quick knit and great for gifts, swaps or just to show off wonderful hand made soaps. Perfect for an instant gratification project, this is the slightly fancier version of my basic Soap Sock.
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
This sweet tank is a great quick knit for summer time baby wear. The straps are adjustable so this tank can grow with your baby. Can be worn as a tank top in the summer or a smock type top over a tee shirt or onesy for extra warmth in Spring or Fall. Great last minute baby gift knitting!
Knitting: Earflap Hat
This adorable heavily cabled baby hat is a quick knit and makes quite the dashing topper for a wee bebeh. Can be knit for either a boy or a girl depending on the yarn you use.
Knitting: Purse / Handbag
This was a quickie pattern I made up one weekend to use to teach the cabling technique to students at the shop I work at. It is by far the most basic, easy to do bag one could imagine. There are infinite ways to change this, tweak this or make it better. Feel free to do so, this is open source knitting!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This cap was inspired by my Godmother DeeDee who is currently battling her second bout of cancer with grace and strength beyond my comprehension. This cap was designed for her and named after her. I hope that it can bring a bit of comfort to others along the way as well.
Knitting: Headband
This is a great way to use up a random ball of yarn! I favor a washable cotton yarn, and the All Season Cotton is nice and sturdy and holds up beautifully.
Knitting: Cleaning - Other
7/13/08: I edited the pattern to reflect a key part I failed to add originally. The bottom of the sack is seamed together when you are done knitting to close up the hole at the cast on edge. My apologies for any confusion.
Knitting: Ankle Sock
These socks are a ‘small beauty’. They are very quick to knit and great if you have a short attention span. Could easily be knit up the day before a baby shower or in the waiting room at the hospital! It’s a great way to use up the last little bit of a ball of sock yarn you may have lying around.
Knitting: Cup / Mug
Errata: For ‘Squared Check’ version it has been noted that there is a problem with the numbers being right. The best I can figure is that as you increase out you’ll end up with 23 sts, and you need 22 for the pattern, you can increase out to the 23 (so your sides are even), then in the middle of the row before you begin the patterned section k2...
