This collection is more than just a group of patterns. It’s designed to be a resource to the intermediate knitter who has never touched color work. In Part I, I’ll show you all the secrets I’ve learned in my pursuit of this technique, so you can avoid the frustration I experienced. Part 2 contains the patterns for four different pairs of mittens, inspired by trendy geometric designs, sure to wow even your most fashion conscious cousin at the next family get together. At the end of Part 2 there is even a tool to help you design your own color work mittens.

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat can easily be completed after learning the absolute basics of knitting. After casting on, you’ll work in stockinette (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) until your hat is the right length then bind off. After that you will fold your work in half, and seam it up the side and across the top, attaching some adorable pom poms on the corners.
Knitting: Baby Blanket, Throw
If you can cast on, knit, purl, and bind off, you can easily make this blanket! It’s easy to knit, super drapy and comfy, and baby approved! Wrap up your sweet little one with a hug made up of hours of hopeful thoughts that will last years to come.
