Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The Tundra Hat is worked in the round from the bottom up using two strands together of Quince&Co Tern. The hat begins with a provisional cast on, and then a knit 2, purl 2 ribbing is worked, followed by a knit 1, purl 2 integrated decreases shape the crown.
Knitting: Pullover
This straight silhouette with square indented construction sweater is a labor of love to my handmade wardrobe! I love using Quince& Co Tern for its beautiful color work, softness and texture. The two color combinations - Iron and Cumulus remind me of a combination of sand and clouds from a day at the beach or a hike in the woods.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Shawl is knit begining at wing edge and is knit in a lace flower pattern increased at beginning of every right side row until 32 inches then followed by decreases at beginning of every right side row (32 inches) to the end of the second wing edge. Then, the linen stitch edge is worked as explained in pattern.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The toe and gusset are knit in Stockinette Stitch. The heel turn, heel flap and cuff are knit using wheat ear rib while the foot instep and leg are knit using wheat ear cable.

Knitting: Cuffs
I loved the knits on the show Outlander worn by Claire Frazer, particularly, the fingerless mittens. The pattern is my own design and I love the large cable for the wrist part of the glove. The yarn I chose Tundra Artic Landscape in Peat was close in color and bulk and is lovely and soft from the silk combined with the alpaca and wool.
