Swirly scrubbie is knit in one piece on circular needles in a spiral mesh pattern. A knit on loop is knit in I cord using a double strand of the tails from cast on and off.

Knit of light worsted to worsted weight cotton, bordered on all sides with I cord that is knit on as you work, in a 1 row lacy mesh pattern. I like cotton dishcloths that dry quickly, they seem to stay fresher longer in our lovely hot, humid Texas weather, so my preference is for dishcloths in an open, airy knit.

I do not care for felting, having gotten uneven results over the years. I am in awe of folks who create felted items that are beautiful. This pattern is knit with smaller needles to create a dense “stand on it’s own” fabric.

This crane is knit from one side bottom to tip of top, then down from tip to side bottom. The wings are picked up and knit from the sides. The head/neck and tail are worked separately and sewn on. The base is left open for stacking cranes.

Gnome Gnonsense was designed after I read a discussion on one of my Yahoo groups. The pattern gives instructions for 2 sizes of Gnome bags or toys and 1 size for a lip balm cozy. Fast knits, all in one piece, minimal sewing is involved.

This pattern was my contribution to the Phat Fiber Sample Box November 2010 Seasons of Light.

The Seraphina neck corset has an overlapping front closure and features the easiest lace you’ll ever add to a knitted garment. Using purchased lace and a crochet hook, cast on the bottom stitches and work from the shoulders up to the neck. Closures can be button loops, the opening can also be secured by hooks or a brooch.

I came up with this design for Mother’s day. The plan is to present the pin to my mother with a card - “For Mother’s day, a little grey hare for you” on the outside and the punchline on the inside “Sorry about all the other ones”.
