Knitting: Beanie, Toque, Blanket - Other
This is a cocoon, also called a sleep sack or snuggle sack. This pattern is worked in the round, with 2 colors, but can easily be done in one color. Knowledge of working in the round with 2 colors is recommended.

This is a motif that could be used as an embellishment, or as an ornament, It’s great for using odds and ends of yarns. It is worked in the round on DPNs. The center is created first, then the petals are worked over 8 sts, done in short-rows, 4 sts at a time. Although it seems fiddly at first, once you get the pattern down, it goes quickly.

If you like paisley and spiral shapes then this is the pattern for you. Short rows are used for shaping this motif with a bonus of a spiral. I hope enjoy making this as much as I enjoyed creating it.
