Knitting: Afghan block
This one is my version of a King Charles Brocade stitch. I love the subtle diamond look to it & I can see a blanket, shawl, or scarf in it, but that is me.

This is a simple drawstring bag. Nothing fancy just knit flat and them seamed up the sides.

September was a very hectic month and when she gave me the basic pattern I was like this will make it so much easier for me.

– I decided that the rest of the year may be simple but useful designs for your ability to make scarves, blankets, shawls, etc.

– This is going to be a fairly simple month, but it is lace work. You will be creating a beautiful lace leaf that grows the more repeats you make.

This is going to be the color work month. I want to give you fair warning, I am not fond of color work so there may not be another month of it. This pattern will give you the basics of color work. Showing you how to “tie” two colors together as you go across a row.

You will be using a YO (yarn over) & a ktbl (knit through the back loop) in this design.

This month’s square is a texture square. It is the start of the easy to hard squares. By the time this year finishes you will have made squares that contain texture, color work, lace, cables, & a few other things! I promise I will make it 100% easy for you to understand.

This is going to be the cable month. I promise that the cables are basic even if they look complicated. All cables look complicated. Once you learn these simple cable, honestly just how you hold the stitches, you will be able to work any cable stitch you find.
