Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat is meant to be knit by hand, working in the round.
Knitting: Throw
Cables are just pure luxury, don’t you think? This throw blanket is full of them, intertwining to create gorgeous diamonds across the main field of the blanket.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The Kay Hat pattern is a very classic design, made bold by the choice of jumbo yarn. The ribbing texture in the brim is luscious in jumbo yarn, and allows for the brim to be turned up, if the wearer prefers, or worn down, with a slight slouch at the back. The size is generous, accommodating larger heads.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The Boreal Beanie was designed with the new knitter in mind. If you’re tired of making scarves, and want a simple shaped hat pattern to get you started, this pattern is for you. Using super bulky yarn and 10 mm knitting needles makes it easy to see your stitches as you go, and the rotation of knit and purl stitches creates a lovely texture.
Knitting: Bonnet
This bonnet is meant to be knit by hand, working flat. It begins with increases in garter for the earflap, then adds the main body of the hat, and reduces back down to the other earflap. It is seamed up the back, with a optional tassel at the crown, and optional braids extending from the earflaps.
Knitting: Scarf
A great “sampler” scarf, written for my Intro to Knitting class to practice techniques while creating a beautiful finished item. Create a textured triangle, and play with ribbing techniques, as well as lots of practice with garter stitch
