A beautiful unique Lariat with not only flowers, but butterflies as well!

This pattern is very versatile so any weight yarn can be used. Tested shawls used between about 500 and 1000 yds for worsted or lace, respectively. It’s also easy to memorize with a 3-row repeat. The edging is made as you go, so nothing to go back and finish once you’re done. A word of caution though: You stitch into picots. A lot.

I designed this pattern to be extremely versatile. Use a yarn of your choice, with an appropriate choice of hook size, and make it as big as you want. Mine stretches comfortably from hand to hand and used about 2 1/2 skeins of Caron Simply Soft worsted weight yarn.
