Knitting: Pullover
Designed for the LK150, I used both that machine and an SK860 to test knit this design.
Knitting: Dress
A sweet and simple to knit dress, this design can be knit on any standard gauge knitting machine with or without a ribber. It is designed to fit loosely with a twirly skirt. The left shoulder is left open with a button band to make dressing your little one a bit easier.
Knitting: Pullover
Easy to knit and a fun sweater to wear, this tuck sleeve sweater can be made on any midgauge knitting machine. I knit the sleeves in fun self striping yarn but you could use a contrast solid or make the sweater in all one colour. Ribs will need to be hand worked or hand knitted if you have no ribber.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a very easy to knit, super stretchy hat that looks like you are an expert at cables. You don’t need a cable needle and the twist is easy to work with a little practice. I have included a photo tutorial at the end of the pattern to help you with this stitch if it is new to you.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
A Wrap for Spring is a crocheted wrap with a shallow “V” shape that will stay on your shoulders. It is long enough to wrap around you on cool spring days. The basic wrap is crocheted in one colour with the border and appliques in three new colours.
Knitting: Poncho
My poncho is a medium difficulty written only pattern. There is no chart for the cable but, having said that, the cable is a simple eight stitch front twist that is easy to master. The loose fitting poncho has enough detail to keep it interesting without being complicated.
Knitting: Dress
This dress bodice pattern is designed to attach to a sewn skirt to make a pretty and comfortable dress for your sweetie. The bodice is knit top down with worsted weight yarn and is a really easy knit. You can customize the top by making it longer or shorter or even turning this basic pattern into a cardigan by omitting the skirt, making it hip ...
Knitting: Cardigan
Easy to knit and pretty to wear, this cardigan is a nice light wardrobe addition. The lace pattern is essentially a one row pattern with three rows of stocking stitch in between.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A combination of Shetland and Faroese styles to incorporate garter lace with stay put shoulders, this pretty shawl is knit with worsted weight yarn to keep you cozy in Version One and with 4ply for a lighter look in Version Two. The heavier yarn and larger needles make a winter cozy shawl that will wrap right around and the 4ply or sock weight ...
Knitting: Dress
This pretty little jumper is knit from the bottom up in the round starting with the ruffle. The buttons are sewn onto the straps with the buttonholes in the bodice which allow you to easily move the buttons to make the jumper grow a little bit with your kidlet. The bodice is designed to fit snuggly with a stretchy fabric.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is not a beginner pattern. You will need to have intermediate to advanced knitting skills.
Knitting: Cardigan
This pretty cardigan combines knitting and crochet to create a pretty lacey cardigan to wear in the spring or on cool summer days.
Knitting: Cardigan
I had a lot of fun creating this cardigan that combines both knitting and crocheting. The basic shell of the body is very easy and a good beginning knit for a crocheter that wants to try a new craft.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
You can knit one of these in about four hours or less. I knit very fast on small needles but very, very slowly on the large single point needles that I use to make this shawl and still managed to make mine in four hours.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque, Scarf
The scarf pattern, knit lengthwise, takes advantage of the long and gradual colour changes of Scarfie, although you can use any bulky yarn. The hat, knit in the round, uses enough of the yarn that the ribbing and top of the hat should match.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This kid’s hat, knit in the round, is both super cute and warm. I made it with eyelash and fluffy yarn held together and just with fluffy yarn but it could be made with any bulky yarn or two strands of worsted held together. I have included sizes from baby to adult.
Knitting: Scarf
This pretty scarf is made with just one cake of Caron Cakes yarn knit lengthwise to take advantage of those long colour changes. I choose the colour “Boston Cream” to compliment my winter wardrobe but it would look great in any of the colours available or your choice of worsted weight yarn. The knit is easy for a beginner to lace knitting with ...
Crochet: Toys and Hobbies - Other
This pretty little basket bed is suitable for a 20cm or 8” doll. Delight a child with this sweet carry bed to tuck their favourite baby into and carry along. The pattern includes the bed, optional mattress and an old fashioned cover to keep baby warm.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is a light and airy wrap that is perfect for those cool summer nights. Knit in an easy to memorize lace pattern it is still interesting enough to make it a relaxing but not boring knit. The pattern is written for one size but can easily be adjusted by adding or subtracting pattern repeats both in width and length.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
While it looks complicated, this is a fun and easy knit that uses up all of those too beautiful to resist skeins of yarn that you have lurking in your stash. I went through mine and found coordinating skeins of wool or wool blends by picking out those that I thought would match and squishing them together! The colour changes and different textu...
Knitting: Cowl
I have made many cowls or short infinity scarfs using this very easy garter stitch pattern that came about by casting on and starting to knit. Knit on big needles and using the popular chunky yarns, it is an inexpensive and quick knit that lets you be cozy and warm when the weather is cold.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
Using a combination of knitting for the band and crochet for the top, this hat lets you practice both of your skills. The knit band looks difficult but is really an easy twist of stitches that looks like you are an expert at cables. The crochet part is a simple single crochet, chain combination with colour changes for pop.
Knitting: Scarf
This pretty scarf knit in seed stitch with a wide lace edging is reversible and slightly curved to stay on your shoulders. The vintage lace edging is knit along with the seed stitch section so there is no need to go back and pick up stitches or sew the two pieces together. When you are done, you are done, except the ends and blocking of course....
Knitting: Scarf
A lace edged scarf that sits nicely on the shoulders without sliding off. It can be worked with 150 metres of dk or worsted; dk will result in a light airy shawl and worsted or heavy worsted will be more cozy. Gauge is not important unless you knit very tightly then a larger size needle is recommended of course.
Crochet: Cardigan
A very pretty cardigan for a little one that is easy to make in three sizes. The ruffled bottom reaches to just below hip length and the top and sleeve edges are finished with a crab or backwards single crochet stitch for a sweet finish. One skein of each colour is needed to make the cardigan as shown. The small size can be made with one skein ...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is an easy to knit wrap in two lengths, 46cm x 183cm or 18” x 72’ for the short and 46cm x 224 cm or 18” x 88” for the long version, that is knit primarily in garter stitch. No gauge is given as it is not important as long as the fabric produced is soft and loose. The little bit of lace in the border is a nice introduction to lace knitting...
