The danish knitwear designer Åse Lund Jensen was inspired by hen-knitting. A popular form of two stranded knitting in Denmark in the 1970ties. Originally she designed this colour pattern for a pair of leggins, but when Marianne Isager made the book about Åse Lund Jensen, she made revamped her designs and made this sweater.
